Munnar Tea Plantation - Just near to Bodinayakanur.

Munnar,a scenic small town in Kerela,India is known for its tea estates,lakes.The altitude is around 1500mts.Its cool throughout the year.

Recently been to Top Station(1950mts altitude) in search of old rail route laid by British to transport Tea from Munnar to Bodi nayakanur.The British laid railway to transport tea from Munnar to Top station.From Top station,the tea got transported through Ropeway to reach Bodi.But now,both rail & ropeway are not used.We use only surface transport.The plan was to trace the route to reach Munnar from Top Station.But it couldn't be acheived.Most of the locals are not ware of route.Some old generation advised not to venture the route,since it goes through reserved forest.We abandoned the plan,but trekked our way to reach Munnar through some beautiful tea estates belong to Kannan Devan Company.This photograph is taken en route
